Modern two-story house with a gray and white exterior, a garage door, pathway lighting, and landscaped yard with small trees and plants, captured during twilight.
We transformed an underutilised site beside the Ballarat Golf Club into one of the city’s most sought-after residential communities, delivering 27 architect-designed villas with a strong focus on liveability, privacy and lasting quality.

Edge of the Green Villas

    • Client Challenge: Next to the Ballarat Golf Club sat an underutilised site with the potential to become something special. The challenge was to bring design discipline, quality architecture, and urban livability to a mid-scale development that could otherwise have become generic.

    • Our Solution: Macneil Group ran a design competition in order to attract some respected architect firms, who were asked to present urban design sketches to express their vision for the site. Ultimately, Sydney-based Marchese Partners were awarded the contract and went on to lead the masterplan and architecture. We delivered the 27-villa development in four stages, each home individually titled and tailored for views, privacy, and open-plan living. Landscaping and vehicle movement were considered from the outset to create a coherent, walkable community coupled with generous garages.

    • Result: Completed some years ago now, Aspect Villas remains one of the most desirable residential enclaves in Ballarat. Quality architecture that stands the test of time, thoughtful planning, and a commitment to detailed delivery continue to set it apart.
