The Macneil Group was founded in Ballarat by Paul McCuskey and Jason Neil with a clear vision: to create a company built on expertise, integrity, and trust. From the outset, we set ourselves apart by prioritising transparency and accountability.
Macneil Group is a VBA Registered Building Practitioner (CCB-L 53420), ensuring all works meet Victoria’s highest regulatory standards.
What makes us different is our ability to bridge the gap between ambitious design and practical execution. Jason Neil
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Jason has a Bachelor (Honours) of Construction Management from Deakin University. He made his start in the industry in the year 2000 as an estimator. This early experience set Jason up with a deep appreciation of the costs involved with construction and the financial consequences of the many decisions that are required to be made along the way.
Jason is a precision thinker and pays close attention to the details of projects. After testing himself across a number of different companies and construction sectors, he decided to establish the Macneil Group with Paul in 2010. Apart from having overall leadership responsibility, today Jason also directs the acquisition and delivery of the Group's built form projects, both in the fields of contract tendering as well as design and construction facilitation for various client groups.

Paul McCuskey
DIRECTOR
Paul started his career in building construction and property development in local government. Paul worked for a number of local governments and achieved formal qualifications in Planning, Building Surveying and Construction from Swinburne and Melbourne University. After moving into the private sector and heading up various functions for construction and development companies, Paul decided to establish the Macneil Group with Jason in 2010.
As a big-picture thinker, Paul has an excellent overview of the industry and knows how to bring value to both the buyer and the seller. Paul's background also enables him to think across stakeholder groups and forge alliances that enable important projects to be realised. Paul provides a wealth of expertise, in particular in the areas of project acquisition, planning, and finance.

Scott Kramer
GENERAL MANAGER
Scott has been actively engaged in the building industry for more than 25 years. He brings a wealth of knowledge and practical expertise across both commercial and residential. Scott established his early career with 10 years in the hardware industry where he gained a deep understanding of building materials, supply processes, and most importantly, customer service.
With this background, Scott joined the Macneil Group in 2010 and expanded into project delivery, acquiring the skill to set clear strategic direction alongside having the capacity to rapidly make calculated day-to-day operational decisions. Now Scott is responsible for the general management of project delivery, stakeholder engagement, as well as ensuring that each project is executed according to the stringent standards we impose on ourselves through MGIMS TM. Scott's leadership is underpinned by a hands-on approach and a focus on building lasting partnerships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

Adam Lawler
CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
Adam commenced his building career in 1987 and joined the Macneil Group in 2010. With almost four decades of extensive experience in delivering builds across the commercial and residential construction sectors, Adam has a true appreciation of the complexity involved. He knows how to balance the many competing priorities, and with his calm determination and steady demeanor, Adam makes sure the job gets done right.
With responsibility for ensuring the best possible construction outcome, Adam manages our team of elite site foremen, site supervisors, and carpentry crews. Furthermore, Adam is in charge of the critical relationships with our vast and incredibly diverse base of expert subcontractors and dedicated suppliers.
